Brief Answer:
No risk for transmission without skin or body fluid contact.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

HIV cannot pass through several layers of cloth. It requires body fluids to be transmitted. If there was skin to skin contact, or anal contact with pre-ejaculatory fluid, then there is risk. But what you are describing does not sound like there was risk of HIV transmission.

I hope this information puts your mind at ease and you are have a good night.

Brief Answer:
You do not need to be tested.

Detailed Answer:
The good news is that small amounts of saliva cannot transmit HIV.

From the history you shared, it does not sound as though you have reason to have an HIV test.

Yes, this is safe.

Detailed Answer:
This is ok, but if you find that wearing clothes is too cumbersome, do wear a condom and have your partner wear a condom.

thanks a lot dr...the onky reason I don't wanna do anal sex is that it isn't safe right? even condoms aren't 100 percent safe there is a certain amount if risk ??
doctor
Answered by Dr. Bonnie Berger-Durnbaugh (2 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
There is some risk.

Detailed Answer:
Yes, there is some risk - if the condom tears or breaks. Your way is safe. I was suggesting condoms if you were to start doing more than what you have been doing with having sex with clothes on.
