Brief Answer:
You can take both AM

Detailed Answer:
Good day
Noted your concern. Victoza and pioglitazone are excellent diabetes medications. They act in different ways. So doesn't matter if you take them together. However occasionally both can cause mild hypoglycemia especially when taken together with other potent diabetes medications like Gliclazide or Glimeperide. Since you are not taking them, not to worry. Start Victoza in small dose of 0.6 mg as once daily subcutaneous injection and gradually can move up the dose to 1.2 mg and then to 1.8 mg once a day. Victoza may cause nausea and vomiting in few people. However it is an excellent drug in overweight diabetes patients.
