Can Melacare Forte Or Skinlite Be Used For Uneven Skin Tone?

default
Posted on Tue, 12 Jan 2016
Question: Here's my situation. I have been an amateur cricketer for a long time and played all day long in sun and never used sunscreen until last 2 or may be 3 years. I didn't make cricket as I career and now only play it over weekends (9:00-1:00) and use sun screens like Biotique/Lotus/Neutrogena (all of 50SPF) but still I have a very dark and uneven face tone and arms. My rest of the body cannot even be said to be part of same body. hahaha. there's a significant difference. My face and arms tone is almost twice to thrice more darker than say my chest. I believe that I have a sensitive skin because every time I come back after a XXXXXXX day at Cricket my face is more tanned than all other players, even after using Sunscreen. I am the darkest guy in my entire family by a good margin. I absolutely love being a wheatish dark guy so that's no issue for me but what has become as issue is the uneven tone and so many dark patches, sun burns and dark spots. I just want my skin tone to be even and clear. Since I don't pursue cricket as a profession anymore, I can stay away from Cricket for say few months.
Now it seems I could use a cream with the magic 3 composition of Hydro, Tre & Mom but I am not sure of it. Even for only 2-3 months I am scared of its side effects, especially of the Mom steriod. Should I start using Kojic Cream first or any other you can tell me a name with Kojic, Vitamin C and may be Glycolic Acid? as it seems they don't have any side effects or should I use the magic 3 stuff like SkinLite or Melacare for 2 months and then follow up with Kojic Gel? As you suggest always, I'd be taking Vitamin C 500mg daily. I don't know what Azelaic Acid is? and what is the name of Cream for using at night?
So.
Should I use Melacare Forte/SkinLite (or which one should I use, which is the best brand/name) for 2-3 months? Is it safe? and How to use it?
Should I start with Kojic Gel right away? or follow it up after using SkinLite after 2 months?
How long can I take Vitamin C 500 mg as oral supplement?
What is Azelaic Acid? and where can I find it and how to use it?

Sorry for so many subparts. Just curious and want to explain you everything from my side. Appreciate your patience. Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Skin lightening cream

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query.
I must appreciate that you have good knowledge about skin lightening creams.
All the creams mentioned by you are good but there is a way to use them.
It is better to start with triple combination cream like melalite xl for a month and then switch over to kojic acid for 3 months. These creams are for night while in morning you must continue with a sunscreen with spf 50.
Take vitamin C tablets daily once for 3 months.
You must try to avoid sun exposure as far as possible.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you

I would really like to avoid the triple combination because most of the users say that once you stop using it, your turn even darker than before, I am not sure if the dark patches also come back. Is it true? Even if you use a good sunscreen. I am currently using Suncros Aquagel SPF26/Sunban Forte 50SPF on a daily basis, and Lotus 100SPF when I go to play Cricket.

I really don't need a quick solution. I am willing to wait and trying to keep my diet correct but I don't believe my long term XXXXXXX uneven tone and dark patches would go away automatically, it needs some booster. In sum, I think I know how to prevent any more tans and am I being careful, but I don't know how to fix my current tans. Can I start with only using Kojic acid (could you please tell me name of a cream) and are their any side effects of Kojic acid too?

Brief Answer:
Start with kojic acid

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the follow.
Tripple combination has few side effects but it acts rapidly.
It's fine if you don't want to use it , you can directly start with kojic acid.
Kojic acid has no side effects.
You can buy kojivit or kojiglow.
It's good that you are using high soft sunscreen.
Keep using them.
Take vitamin C supplement.
It might take a bit longer time but you will get results.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.

Appreciate your quick reply Doctor, Thank You.
Just two more clarifications doctor, regarding application of Kojivit.
1. How and when should I apply it.
2. Which would be better Kojivit Cream or Kojic Acid Soap? Or can both be used?

Should I apply Kojivit every night for around an hour and then wash off and apply moisturizer (Nivia Soft) OR should I leave it all night long (after washing my face with Biotique Pineapple Oil Balancing Face Wash).
I am also planning to wear O3+ Agelock Vitamin C Booster (Vitamin C Serum) in the morning and then apply the sunscreen. Please suggest.

Thank You.

Brief Answer:
leave it overnight

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Kojic acid is a very mild depigmenting agent hence you can apply it and let it be overnight.
There won't be any reaction.
You can use both Kojic acid and Kojic soap.
In morning you can apply serum and then apply sunscreen.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.
