need more information

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to healthcare magic.I understand your concern.
In my opinion progesterone wont delay the period.
For better suggestions I would like to know:-
1)Your height and weight?
2)When was PCOD diagnosed and since how long you are on PCOD treatment?
3)Since how long you are on infertility treatment?
4)How many years of marital life?
5)Are your cycles regularly every 40 days or variable?
6)When was your last period?
7)Any ultrasound done to know regarding the ovulation in this cycle?
Kindly provide me the information.
Looking forward to hear from you.

Brief Answer:
weight reduction is important

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for the information.I understand your concern.
In my opinion a urine pregnancy test is to be done a week after missed period for accurate results. If negative you can repeat the test after a week or 10 days if still the period is delayed or missed.
You are on correct line of treatment.Absence of ovulation is the main problem causing infertility in PCOD.But the fertomid induces ovulation in 60% of cases there by increasing the fertility.
As the ultrasound showed ovulation its a good sign.
Progesterone doesn't delay the period.Infact progesterone insufficiency might be the problem in PCOD so it is supplemented.
PCOD is one of the treatable causes of infertility. So dont worry.
As you are just 23 and marital life is just 18 months there is much scope for the pregnancy.
Weight reduction plays much important role in PCOD.Even mild loss of weight might also make cycles regular by normalizing the hormones. So adapt a healthy lifestyle like exercise daily and avoid junk food.
Avoid stress as it also causes infertility by causing hormonal imbalance.
Participate in intercourse daily to increase the chances of conception.
Relax and dont worry.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Feel free to discuss further.

Brief Answer:
ovulation decides cycle length

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,I got your query.I understand your concern.
In my opinion the the expected period usually occurs 14 days before the expected period.
So as the ovulation occurred on 17 th day ie.,25 th may the expected period will be on XXXXXXX 8th.And this cycle will be 31 days cycle but not 40 days.
But as you dint get the period and the pregnancy test is negative the test might be repeated after a week.
And if still negative an ultrasound might be needed to confirm the diagnosis.
So the ovulation decides the cycle length.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Feel free to discuss further.

Brief Answer:
It might be a period but needs to be evaluated

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,I got your query.I understand your concern.
In my opinion as the urine pregnancy test is negative the spotting might be due to period.
It might convert to normal period bleeding.
But to rule out pregnancy there are two tests one is to evaluate the blood HCG level other one is Transvaginal ultrasonography.
Blood Hcg level also helps us to know if the pregnancy was occurred and followed by silent miscarriage.
So dont worry.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Feel free to discuss further.

Brief Answer:
Blood HCg level testing might help

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,I got your query.I understand your concern.I am sorry for your condition.
In my opinion your doctor might have confirmed 100% that you are not pregnant and started you on fertomid.
Fertomid might be associated with anamolies but <1%.
Any doctor will confirm the absence of pregnancy and prescribe the medicines.
So dont worry regarding that.It might be the period only.If it were any miscarriage type or pregnancy the pregnancy test would be positive or atleast weakly positive.
The light period might be due to some hormonal imbalance.
If you want to confirm you can go for blood HCG level testing.
Relax.Dont get stressed up.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Feel free to discuss further.
