Brief Answer:
Consideration

Detailed Answer:
hello and thank you for sending the question.

Taking Sudafed while also taking citalopram would generally be regarded as safe for a short period of time. If you're just using the Sudafed to control symptoms of congestion for a couple of days then I do not see a major problem with this.

I would recommend that you continue using the nasal steroids to decrease inflammation in your nasal and sinus passage ways. Also try to focus on good nutrition, hydration and get plenty of rest.

Again it would generally be regarded as safe to use Sudafed just for a couple of days along with the current medications that you are currently prescribed. Please follow up with your primary care doctor for for the recommendations.

Thank you again for sending your question.

Sincerely,

Dr. Galamaga
