Bruise On The Back Of The Knee, Soreness On The Leg Extending To Outer Thigh. Any Ideas?

I have a 3 inch bruise on the back of my left knee but it does not hurt. I do have a swore pain on the same leg towards the outside of my knee going halfway up my outer thigh. Any idea what this could be? I am going to make an appointment with my primary care Dr. in the morning, but I m a little worried right now. Thanks, Melissa

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

I have read your query.

It seems to be soft tissue injury, but to make exact diagnose get xray of knee with thigh in AP and Lateral view and send me the report to exclude any possibility of hairline fracture.

Till then avoid running and jumping.

Take 1 tab. aceclofenac+serratiopeptidase three times a day by prescription.

In future if you wish to contact me directly, you can use the below mentioned link:

I hope you have got your answer.

Thanks.
