Question : can i take trazodone on an empty stomach, and if i have acid reflux?

Trazadone has no known some irritative effect on stomach more than any other antidepressant so it can be safely taken in people with history of GERD, gastritis and acid reflux. It is always recommended for most medications to take it with food because these may affect in first place intestinal motility and cause cramps,optipation or diarrheas. Stomach pain is less commonly seen. So you have few options. To take medications 3-4 hours before sleep or take it with very small amount of food, some piece of bread or yogurt is enough.
