Brief Answer:
Your hemoglobin is OK.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

Folic acid is useful in thallasemia minor. But it will not increase your hemoglobin further.

Iron is not useful in thallasemia minor.

Your hemoglobin of 11.8 is OK in thallasemia minor.

Generally hemoglobin remains below 12 in thallasemia minor. So nothing to worry about your hemoglobin. Just be relaxed.

Hope I have answered your question.

Both are different.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear

Trip iron folic contain iron, vitamin C and folic acid. In thallasemia minor as such there is no role of iron supplements. So no need for extra iron supplements. You can take just simple folic acid.

In thallasemia minor hemoglobin will not increase further. And its ok in thallasemia minor. You can not achieve hemoglobin level of 13 or 14 in thallasemia minor. So just be relaxed.
