If it is iron defficiency anemia exclusively then Xaltro have no role.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing.
I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.
Xaltro might be a factor here but first one has to work up that if this anemia you are having is due to iron defficiency or due to blood loss.
Iron defficiency anemia can be due to decreased absorptions of iron from gut or decreased iron intake in food... if iron defficiency anemia is the cause of your anemia then Xaltro wont be having any role in this you will have to take iron supplements and everything will get back to normal in a couple of months as your iron stores get replenished.
So I would suggest you to discuss this with your GI you are going to meet.. if he finds out that you are bleeding in stomach or gut he can discuss with cardiologist about changing the dose of Xaltro but if he doesn't think there is any cause of anemia involving blood loss then iron defficiency can simply be treated with supplementation without any change in Xaltro.
I hope this answered your question, a
if you have more please feel free to ask.
Regrads.
Dr.Muhammad Ahmad.
