Question : I just took .5 Xanax about 30 mins ago before flying. Is it ok to have a beer now that I have a 4 hour layover or will I die?
Brief Answer:
You won't die!
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Taking Xanax and a beer together will not make you die, but if you don't regularly take Xanax, you probably should hold off on drinking any alcohol. The reason is that they are both central nervous system depressants meaning they might make you overly sedated, etc to the point, if you are not used to the combo, that you might miss your flight. If you took Xanax every day for months and experimented with drinking alcohol at home while on it, then I'd say ok. But being that you are in a public place that requires you to be fairly alert, I'd discourage it.
