Suggest Treatment For Uneasiness Following Epilepsy

hi, i have a history of generalised epilepsy, and have recently started suffering from Panic attacks, probably from worry associated with my epilepsy. I have only suffered from seizures whilst waking up, but about 2 weeks ago i had my first fits whilst im awake. My blood tests returned a high level of white blood cells, but this was dismissed as a biological response to the seizures. Since then i have had an overall sense of uneasiness; should i be worried? i ve read that the uneasiness can be a form of aura, although i usually only have flashing lights in my eyes prior to a fit. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your doctor seems right in telling you that it may be a normal biological response to seizures. However, in some cases, increased WBC count may be a response to some infection. Therefore, if your problem persists or worsens, particularly if accompanied with fever, further work up for infection may be needed.

Overall feeling of uneasiness does not look like an aura. Though, prolonged aura have been described, still in most of the cases, an aura lasts for 10-30 minutes and up to 1 hour in a few cases. In your case, the symptoms of uneasiness seem to be related to anxiety. Panic attacks is also a type of anxiety disorder. Presence of flashing light seems to be true aura in your case.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
