Question : I am male 42, I never had sexual contact outside my wife. On 20th march I went to a bar in banglore, there I met a girl whose hiv or std status is unknown, i kissed her in her cheek and and she kissed me in my cheek, and I left nothing more happened , now I have tiny lesions in groin area painful and burning the lesions are sudden ,I didn't see any bumps or blisters, do I have chance of getting genital herpes.

And you did not do sexual intercourse. Still, I would like to ask few questions... Please answer.. 1) You might have taken hot drink..so, are you sure for not having sex? 2) Are you sure for not having extramerital sex? 3) The rash you described in groin area,which is burning painful tiny lesions, is it for the first time or had in past.? 4) Can you describe the rash you have..is it vesicular or erosions or ulcerative? 5) Is the rash is in localised area or in spread to other parts and in both side in groin areas.? Clarify the exact area..upper thigh, scrotum or perineum.. 6)Is there lesion on genital ? 7) Do you have any other disease ? 8) Do you take any medicine for any other disease? 1) You might have taken hot drink..so, are you sure for not having sex? I have taken beer and no sex 2) Are you sure for not having extramerital sex? yes 3) The rash you described in groin area,which is burning painful tiny lesions, is it for the first time or had in past.? had in the past but not in this place but between thighs joints 4) Can you describe the rash you have..is it vesicular or erosions or ulcerative? ulcerative 5) Is the rash is in localised area or in spread to other parts and in both side in groin areas.? Clarify the exact area..upper thigh, scrotum or perineum.. in between thigh and the pubic area 6)Is there lesion on genital ? No 7) Do you have any other disease ? Sinus before one week taken levofloxacin 5 days 8) Do you take any medicine for any other disease? Taken amoxycillin, glavunulate and levofloxacin I have uploaded the image too for you view

Brief Answer: You seem to have ulcer following infection. Detailed Answer: Hi XXXXX, Welcome back. Thanks for answers and uploading the photo. After going through answers and seeing photo, I feel that you have soft tissue infection followed by ulcerative lesion. It is not herpes progenitalis or any other sexually transmitted disease. It may be caused by bacteria like staphylococci. It may be due to perspiration and poor hygiene. You do not worry. It will take few days to few weeks to be cured. I advise you to take Sitz bath in dettol containing water... To sit in dettol containing water tub for few minutes. Take antibiotic like cefixime 200 mg daily for 1 to 2 weeks along with antiinflammatory drugs like nimesulide with paracetamol tab. Apply antibiotic cream like sisomycine twice a day. Thanks doctor I am relieved. But due to my agony I went for a HSV IgM test yesterday,not yet received the results? will that confirm that I am not infected. Thanks a lot for your advice

Dear Doctor Yesterday I got the results of my HSV I and II IgM antibody test and it was NEGATIVE, Will it confirm that I am free from Herpes and Should I go for a VDRL test, is it necessary?. I am happy to inform that My lesions between the pubic and thigh area got healed without any treatment. Kindly advise me?
