Can Smoking Cigarettes Exposed To Insect Sprays Pose A Health Hazard?

Question: Today, we had our house sprayed in and our for bugs. I didnt watch the entire treatment, but the contractor appeared to spray the ground. Tonight, about nine hours after the spray, i sat down to have some cocktails and also had some cigarettes. The liquor wasnt in the house at the time of the spraying but the cigarettes and cups were. I senses a weird aftertaste though it could easily be my imagination. What should i watch for in terms of problems? The cigarettes were in a pack in a closed drawer. Thanks

From the available description I do not think you need to worry. It is true that the cigarettes were contaminated with spray but being in closed drawer almost rules out high concentration to cause harm to you. The concentration in this manner likely to be very low and unlikely to cause any potential damage if any.

I also like to inform you that nine hours after spray the concentration of insecticides are very low and unlikely to harm human health after single exposure.
