Question : If a woman has a lower left 12th rib removed. Then a few years later falls and gets poked very hard in that lower rib area, causing sever trauma. Could this trauma develop the beginning of a hernia ? Thank you for your answer. XXXXXXX YYYY@YYYY and YYYY@YYYY

After the removal of 12th rib, both the scar area and a severe trauma can cause a hernia to develop in the area.
A trauma can cause the muscles in the back to separate and a rise in intra abdominal pressure can cause a hernia to develop.
