Hi there Mr AAAAA

At the outset, may i say that Abu-Dhabi is a fine place & the Emiratis have a huge place in my heart. I spent more than 3 decades first as a kid & then later as a dermatologist there.
As for your daughter, please do use a cream called Atoderm PO zinc from the Bioderma company that has zinc in it & can act as a physical sunscreen & emolient in the mornings. Evenings use a pigment lightening cream on the spots..there are many in the UAe market but Neostrata has a pigment lightening cream that is useful & any large pharmacy can help you. I have a friend (pharmacist) in a pharmacy called Beauty Pharmacy (tel # 02-0000) an Egyptian gentleman called XXXXXXX who will be happy to help you should you choose to go there.
For your son, the diapers may be irritating him. So use the same Atoderm PO zinc as a 'protective' cream before using any diapers. When not in diapers & after bathing, use any good quality Aloevera (natural) cream that over a period of time will help soften his skin. Ranbaxy has a brand that is fairly good. The pharmacist will help sort you out.
I understand how the system works there with insurance companies et al but these creams are anyways not covered by insurance. My regds to all your fellow Emiratis. I have literally hundreds' of patients' there that i left behind as my family is settled here & have recently relocated to Bangalore, India & have started my own Dermatology & Cosmetology set-up @ a major corporate hospital here doing all sorts of cosmetic procedures including hair transplantation et al. Please do pass on my regards to the rest of your people & as i speak fluent 'arabic' & am acutely aware of all your customs, they may feel comfortable consulting with me online on this portal.
Ma-salaama & Best wishes to your family & hope these creams work for your children. Regds.

Apologies Ms. AAAA

Get a bit nostalgic whenever i think of the UAE & especially Abu-Dhabi.
Yes the creams i mentioned for your daughter are 'safe' for a 2 yr old; but make sure that the neostrata cream does NOT contain Hydroquinoine; a useful alterantive is Bioderma's 'White Objective' lightening cream that is safe & does not contain HQ. Mornings remember to use a sunscreen..again Bioderma's kids sunscreen is recommended.
As for you son, understand he will not be using diapers' et al but this same cream has zinc oxide & will help soothen his skin; an alternative would be 'Cicabio' cream again from Bioderma company (i prefer this company as it is french & have personally seen their factory & quality control unit). Aloevera cream evenings will be useful for him as it will act as an emollient for the dry skin & lighten the skin but dont expect it to act quickly. It can be used all over the body after bathing.
In case of difficulty, the Bioderma representative for auh is one Mr XXXXXXX (0000). Tell him my name & he will point you out to the nearest pharmacy or help you to get the creams if any difficulties; the mobile number of the pharmacy man is Mahmoud (0000).
I do hope this is clear & the nos. et al will help. You are most welcome to pass along my contact details to any Emiratis' who are in need of any help as regds medicine & wish to come down to Blore either for lasers/dermatology procedures or for any other medical related problems.
Do let me know how the kids do in a month & please feel free if time permits to write in a feedback on our site. Warm Regds,
