Question : What is the right dose for treating amoebiasis using Metronidazole combine with Co-trimoxazole in children 13 years old with a body weight of 69 kg ?

Brief Answer: metronidazole alone is sufficient Detailed Answer: Hi XXXX, Welcome to Healthcare magic. There is no need of cotrimoxazole for amebiasis. The usual doses of metronidazole is sufficient, if taken for optimum duration. The diagnosis must be finalised by a physician and the dose also should be decided by the practitioner.
