Hi there, thanks for asking. It appears that you have a double depression. The grief of your son is complicating the mood issue. Brief psychotherapy can be very useful for your situation. It can also help to decrease the dose of your medication. The medications from the class of SSRI which Prozac is one of them can cause sleep problems in high dose. Psychotherapy can also help for the treatment of your long term depression. It could be in the form of group therapy or individual therapy. Best wishes with your therapy.
