Question : This mi friend wife report age 30 yrs, she has small tumor in lungs, test has been done, report details has been uploaded, please details of this report and please know me anything related to cancer, she is been very afraid of this.
Hi
Thanks for posting the query
I think there is some misunderstanding, there is a swelling in the thyroid and not the lungs
The report is suggestive of colloid goitre, this occurs usually due to iodine deficiency resulting in reduced synthesis of thyroid hormones
There are two type of goitre simple and multinodular
Get a sonography or scan of thyroid done to come to a diagnosis of the type
No it has nothing to do with cancer
Hope all clear, Am available for followup
Wishing your friend's wife a speedy recovery

Hi,
Thanks for posting your follow-up query.
As I have mentioned earlier get a sonography done.
If it is simple goiter and cosmetically not big medicines may be tried.
If it is multinodular, surgery is needed.
In either case medicines are required according to thyroid hormone levels.
Hope all clear, do accept my reply if there are no further queries.
Wishing the patient a speedy recovery.
