Posted on Mon, 7 Sep 2015
Question: Hi Doctor, We are married for around 5 years and still waiting for a kid. Although we have consulted couple of doctors and done numerous test but there is no clue about the issues. We also had a 4 week immature abortion last year automatically.

Can you please read thru the attached reports of mine and my wife and suggest if you spot anything wrong and provide suggestion? I would love to answer any question you might have after going thru these reports.

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Normal reports

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for your query.

I have read you query and I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1) Your reports and your wife's reports are normal.

2) Many couple undergo abortion atleast once in their lifetime. Hence dont worry about previous abortion.

3) Your wife needs to undergo tubal patency test ( HSG) or laparoscopy to know if fallopian tubes are normal.

4) Overall there is no problem to get pregnant. Continue ovulation induction and an IUI if possible from your doctor for better results.

I hope I answered you query and addressed your concerns.

Let me know if you wish to ask any further questions. I will be glad to help you.

Regards,
Dr. Mahesh Koregol.

Thanks Dr. XXXXXXX for investigating our case.

A Doctor prescribed HSG last year and she found tubes to be normal where as Uterus was found to be retroverted which was also suggested as no problem.

We are concerned because the latest report Neetu_BloodTest_Reports_2015 is suggesting following disturbing numbers. Can you please provide your inputs on these readings? Thanks.

1. Very high AMH level of 16.5, last year it was around 10, is this a problem in conceiving?
2. A positive TB Gold Test, does that mean she has Tuberculosis?
3. Very high Cytomegalovirus (igG) of 72. Is that an indication of severe infection inside uterus?

Brief Answer:
Dont worry about IgG, AMH or TB gold

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Retroverted uterus is never a problem.

AMH reports are not reliable. This report seems to be wrong as it cannot increase from 10 to 16. Dont worry about high AMH value. This will not affect pregnancy chances.

TB gold test is not specific for TB. She needs to undergo endometrial biopsy for PCR to diagnose if there is TB. Chances of TB are less as she had already conceived once.

CMV IgG indicates past infection. Dont worry about IgG positive status as it is not significant.

Thanks Doctor, so looks like these tests are normal.
Please advise what should be our next steps in order to get pregnant? Ovulation Induction was also done couple of times but that is a costly affair. Is there any regular medication or tonic which will boost chances?

Brief Answer:
Ovulation kit is next option

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

There is no regular medication which can be taken by yourself. It is better to undergo ovulation induction and follicular monitoring for best results.

If expensive, try ovulation kits at home and have sexual intercourse around time of ovulation for best chances.
