Does Keppra Interact With Lamictal?

Question: Dear Dr. Sheppe,
My psychiatrist tried during 20 days a switch from Keppra to Lamictal, but i had a bad reaction to Lamictal and a dangerous cardiovascular interaction with Serlect (Sertindole). I was 5 days with 25, then 5 days with 50, then five days of Lamictal and the same in the morning (in a mirror form), and Keppra 3/4, 1/2 in the same way. I am back to Keppra 1000 mg (500 mg and 500 mg) since three days and i had to cancel Lamictal because of the risk with Serlect. I would like to know after low dosage of Lamictal during two weeks (up to 75 mg by night and 50 mg in the morning) how long does it takes to side effects to go away and how long to Keppra to work again (from 500 mg back to 1000 mg) without side effects.
Thanks beforehand XXXXXXX

Detailed Answer:
Hello, and thanks for your question.
Lamictal will completely leave your system 5 days after your last dose. Side effects should cease immediately once the drug leaves the system, after 5 days.
Keppra will take 5 days after reaching a dose of 1000mg to take effect. Side effects should decrease completely within 2 weeks.
