Does Sinarest Help In Nasal Blockade, sneezing And Cough?

Sinarest itself contains paracetamol,no need of calpol
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
Sinarest contains 125 mg of paracetamol and calpol contains 120 mg of paracetamol. The dose of paracetamol is 15 mg/kg/dose.It can be taken 4-6 hourly depending on the severity.
When you give 2.5 ml of sinarest and 6 ml of calpol the total dose will be around 205 mg.
The average weight of a child of 19 month is around 12 kg.So the maximum dose of paracetamol which can be given will be 180 mg.
So the usual dose will be 2.5 ml sinarest with 5 ml of calpol.
The toxic dose of paracetamol is very high about 500-800 mg/kg.
So don't worry if you have already given the mentioned dose. But if not given yet, then give 2.5 ml sinarest with 5 ml of calpol.
I would be glad to answer if you have any further query
Regards

No Sinarest helps in nasal blockade, sneezing and cough
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome again
The most common cause of fever with cough and cold in this age is viral infection not bacterial.
Antibiotic is needed in bacterial infection only. In viral infection symptomatic treatment should be given.
Sinarest contains antiallergic and decongestant that helps in cold and congestion.
Continue the same treatment and if fever is persistent or condition worsens consult your physician for reevaluation.
I hope this answers your query.

Continue giving sinarest,if needed give calpol
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome again
I would suggest you to continue giving sinarest 2.5 ml three times a day.Make a temperature chart to monitor fever. If even after taking sinarest, there is fever give calpol as advised.
You need not to give calpol on regular basis, use it only if there is temperature more than 100 F.
I hope this answers your query
