I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Increased blood pressure is not a mentioned side effect of Topaz.
Topiramate usually has side effects like visual abnormalities. tingling in limbs, renal stone, metabolic acidosis, memory impairment, flushing, GI disturbances ,
Other uncommon side effects can also occur.
You can discuss it with your treating physician regarding the blood pressure issue and need of topaz.
