Question : hello, i have been perscribed zyvox along with bactrim for a spider bite, i am currently taking wellbutrin also. i havent taken thee zyvox yet, want to make sure its not contraindicated, what do u think?

Hello,

wellbutrin and zyvox may interact and cause a very serious side effect called serotonin syndrome. Normally drugs like wellbutrin have to be stopped at least a couple of weeks before starting zyvox. Thankfully this side effect is rare but it's too serious to ignore.

Perhaps you should talk with your doctor about alternatives.
