Does Frequent Ejaculation Increase DHT Levels Enough To Accelerate Hair Loss?

Question: Does frequent ejaculation increase DHT levels enough to accelerate or affect hair loss? I know high-levels of dihydrotestosterone are linked with increased prevalence of male pattern baldness, but does frequent ejaculation increase levels of DHT?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in. There is no scientific basis to suggest that frequent ejaculation/masturbation can result in hair loss. First of all there is no evidence to suggest frequent ejaculation can alter or increase DHT levels. See a dermatologist if hair loss is troublesome. Many a times hairloss can be treated without knowing whats responsible for it & other times no cause is found even after detailed evaluation.
Hope this helps.
