Question : I AM SUFFERING FROM A LOWER BACK PROBLEM FOR A WEEK. I SAW A DOCTOR AT MED EXPRESS YESTERDAY AND HE PRISCRIBED TRAMADOL HCL THREE TIMES A DAY. IT HAS NOT HELPED ME AT ALL AND IAM DESPERATE. CAN I USE A LORAZAPAM TO SEE IF THAT WOULD HELP? ; I AM 87 AND IN GOOD HEALTH

NSAIDs or opiods like Tramadal are best choices for low back pain.

Lorazepam may not help here.

Please continue Tramadol along with topical application of Diclofenac gel. This can alleviate the pain considerably.
