Hi and welcome to XXXXXXX

Thank you for your query.

First, you should be sure that this blood was from your husband and inside the condom. There is always a possibility that your blood (menstrual blood or vaginal wall injury) came into condom during the intercourse or condom breakage.

But if we assume that this came from his body then there are few possible causes and most are benign. First one is foreskin injury which can easily bleed especially at phrenulum. Ask your husband to examine foreskin and watch for some scratch but this will heal spontaneously.

Secondly, it can be urethral injury, this is rare, but if he has pain while urinating it should be considered.

Thirdly, this blood could have been in semen. This is found in urinary infections, kidney stones, prostatitis and prostate enlargement and in some more serious such as testicle tumors and epidydimitis. In this case he needs to visit urologist for further testing and treatment. So ask your husband did he notice blood in semen after masturbation or does he has symptoms such as frequent and difficult urination, burning pain while urinating, pain in testicles or kidney pain. If yes, then visit urologist, if not then it seems that it was just minor foreskin injury and no treatment is necessary.

Wish you good health. If you have any question I ll be glad to help.

Its inside the condom and when he squeezed the tip of his penis then he saw blood as well. The blood comes inside his penis. Is there any possibilities that i can get infected too. Eventhough we uses condom for protection.

Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

Then it can indicate urogenital infection(prostatitis, urethritis or epydidimits) or kidney stone. This cant be transmitted as this is not STD,this is probably caused by usual bacteria (E.coli) which commonly cause urinary infections in men and women. There is no need to be concerned.

Just tell your husband to do basic blood tests, urine analysis and semen analysis for start. It can show is there infection or blood in urine/semen and then further diagnostic tests can be planned or he can start antibiotic treatment.

You are welcome.

Yes, Your family doctor can send him for these simple tests. You don't have to tell him details. Just tell him that you have noticed blood in urine or semen. This is common symptom and your doctor will only send him for those tests I have mentioned,
