Question : I have a amorphous calcified uterine fibroid
Overlying the left side of my sacrum. The size is 4.04 x 3.61cm. I am 58 years old. What is it?

Fibroid is a soft tissue tumor originating from the uterine musculature. These fibroids are mostly benign and do not pose any problem unless they are very big. Sometimes these fibroids get degenerated and result in calcification.
The fibroid you have is complicated with calcification. Since the size is less than 5 cms surgical removal is not recommended. If it grows and crosses more than 5 cms then Myomectomy (surgery) is done.
