Question : having the twitching above my left ear it is not painful but very annoying

I think you are having benign fasciculation. Here muscles undergo recurrent contraction and relaxation. It can affect any part of the body and is caused by unknown factors.
It doesn't pose serious problems and if there are no other associated symptoms it doesn't need medical attention. These fasciculations usually settle down by itself.
