Brief Answer:
Abortion pills should be taken under supervision.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your question.

First and foremost important thing is that abortion pills should always be taken under supervision of a physician or an expert because sometimes it may cause severe bleeding, infection and retained product of conception.

Before taking abortion pills you must confirm pregnancy by home urine pregnancy test and go for ultrasound pelvis to examine the exact week (because pills can be effective up to 49 days of pregnancy) and site of pregnancy (ectopic pregnancy should be ruled out).

In her example she should confirm pregnancy by home urine pregnancy test.

Her dose and timing of the pill is not appropriate.

Usually the dose schedule is as under-
Day-1 mifepristone300 mg. one pill in the morning.
Day-2 no medicine
Day-3 Mesoprostol 200 microgram one in the morning and another in the evening either orally or vaginally
Day-4 mesoprostol 200 microgram one BD

Bleeding starts after taking the first dose of mesoprostol.

She should work for repeat ultrasound pelvis on 10 th day of starting pills.

So in her case if pregnancy test results are positive then she should confer with a gynecologist and took remaining pills as advice under her supervision.

Hope I have answered your query if you have further questions I will be happy to assist you.

Good luck.

U said her timing is not appropriate....
Day 1- 20th - Saturday morning 2 am she took mifepristone
Day 2 - 21st Sunday evening 8 pm she took one misoprostol (after 42 hrs)
Day 3 - now can she take second tablet? If so how many n wats da next schedule?
Without being a pregnant if an woman take these pills What are the consequences? Does these pills work? Any effects on normal period? She is fully stressed now, she is ready to take 3 pills at a time now, can she take like that(all three now)?

Brief Answer:
Follow the advice.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Nice to be hearing from you again.

First she should go for home pregnancy test to find out whether she is pregnant or not.

If her test results are positive, then only she can get the rest of the medicine as advice before.

I said inappropriate timing because pills are consumed at the same time in the morning not in the night and second pills should be taken 48-72 hrs. after mifepristone.

In case if she is not pregnant then there is no side effect of mifepristone as such, but yes, she may experience side effects due to mesoprostol like headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and cramps.

As such these drugs not causes any menstrual irregularities in non pregnant female.

No, she should not take rest of three pills simultaneously, it may cause severe spasm and other side effect.

Hope it is useful.

Any more questions feel free to ask.

Good luck.

Brief Answer:
Period can be delay due to pill.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Sorry for the delay in my response.

Her menses can be delayed due to abortion pill.

If her pregnancy test is negative, then she can wait for her menses for 1month.

If she will not resume her period, then she should consult a gynecologist and get her pelvic ultrasound exam done.

If everything is ok in ultrasound then she can take primolut-n tablet for withdrawal bleeding.

I hope it is helpful to you.

Brief Answer:
See the discription.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Sorry for my delay in response.

Could you please tell me whether her white discharge associated with whatever other symptoms like itching, odor etc. and consistency of discharge?

There are so many causes for white discharge it can be normal, after pills, infection and occur usually before starting of the period.

In my view, she should first go for a pelvic ultrasound to rule out the cause of delayed menses. (She already had abortion pills without confirming pregnancy).

At present if she again takes primolut - N may be her cycle again disturbed.

So please first go for an ultrasound then she can take primolut-n twice daily for three days, when she stop taking the drug withdrawal bleeding occurs inside a week.

Please revert back to me with my answer.

Hope to hear soon from you.

Good luck.
