Brief Answer:
Please find details below and discuss further if required

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX sfs,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. It is important to know since when you have the elbow pain and if it is sudden onset or the pain is there for many days.

2. A pain of sudden onset is usually due to injury or trauma to bones, muscles or ligaments. If you have hurt your elbow and pain is in the bones then the pain is due to injury. If you did not hurt the elbow and the pain is in the muscles then the cause is probably muscle spasm or pulled ligament.

3. If the pain is there for many days then it is possible that you have inflammation of muscles or bones due to any inflammatory condition or infection.

4. It will help to know where you have TB and since when you are taking medicine.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Dr.Vivek

Brief Answer:
TB can happen because of HIV but HIV will not happen due to TB

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX sfs,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. I can understand your fear about TB and HIV.

2. HIV usually does not appear as a pain in elbow. HIV is an infective condition in which the immune system becomes weak and the patient can have other diseases.

3. TB is also a condition that is seen in people with low immunity and many HIV patients have TB illness.

4. TB can involve any part from head to toe including bones and joints. If you think the elbow pain has been there for few days and appeared without injury then it is better to get a X ray of elbow (AP and Lateral) views done to make sure your bones are normal.

5. HIV ELISA test is to be done at 3 months and 6 months after any probable unprotected sexual intercourse or any incident having risk of HIV transmission like needle injury. If your ELISA test is done at least 6 months after risk situation and result is negative then you do not have HIV.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Brief Answer:
Please find details below

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX sfs,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. Sometimes a doctor is unable to understand your problem in detail.

2. When a patient asks a solution and unable to explain in detail then it is always better to send him to emergency room.

3. We get patients from USA regularly and there patients have to wait for a long time to see doctor. It is not like XXXXXXX where you can go to doctor any day. Waiting period for doctor in USA is few weeks to a month except in emergency.

4. The other doctor suggested you to go to emergency because he was thinking that you have severe pain

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

ok sir.. the elbow pain is increasing day by day. I do all the regular work . but if I pend or rotate the hand. I feel severe pain..
doctor
Answered by Dr. Vivek Chail (8 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Please find details below and discuss further if required

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX sfs,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1.Bending and rotating at the elbow is by the biceps muscles. If you are having pain in bending and rotating elbow then please consult an orthopedic surgeon. It is possible that your muscle or tendon is inflammed. A X ray can be done if required. If there is severe pain then your doctor will tell you to do MRI scan.

2. If the condition is confirmed by your doctor then you can also apply ointment or spray containing pain reliever and muscle relaxant like Volini (gel and spray) and get relief.

3. Many people also get relief by doing physiotherapy.

4. Please avoid lifting more than 3 kg with your left hand as it may increase the pain and problem.

5. Avoid doing gym exercises if you go to gym. Doing gym exercises can cause this pain.

6. Do not do heavy work and sudden movements involving your left elbow joint.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
