Question : Hello doctor,

I have a dog bite in September 2014. I got full vaccination for it. I didnot take any booster in 2015. In January 2016, I got scratched by a street dog for which I took 3 vaccination. My last vaccination was on 18 January. Today another street dog scratched in my leg and it got bleeded. What should I do? Plz guide me.

Antibodies titer test and wound treatment is advisable

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to health care magic, I had gone through your question very diligently and Iwill definitely help you out in best possible way.

If you can uplaod me a photograph of the dog bite wound. which vaccine you have taken if you have any record with you and is dog is pet or wild, please do let me know.

I would advise you to keep a close watch on the dog for at least 10 days, since you have recently taken the vaccines so I would advise you to go for antibodies titer test and if it comes >0.5 IU/ml than you may not requir any more vaccine.

I would advise you to clean the would thoroughly with antiseptic soap or solution and keep it open.

please write back to me with these details so that I will be able to tell you more precisely.
