Brief Answer:
May go for an Hiv Duo test at 4 week i.e P 24 antigen and Hiv antibody test

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I have gone through your query and I have understood your concern.

A condom provides adequate protection against Hiv, however, documenting it with a screening test is a recommended.
I suggest you to go for an Hiv Duo test at 4 weeks i.e P 24 antigen and Hiv antibody test. This test is highly accurate at 4 weeks. P 24 antigen can be detected early as 2 weeks whereas Hiv antibodies usually appear by 4 weeks in most (not all) of those infected and by 12 weeks in 100% of those infected.
P 24 antigen can be detected only till the time antibodies appear in circulation therefore testing for both (antigens and antibodies in the same test) at 4 weeks would be able to detect either of these in case of an infection and hence shortens the window period of detection to about 4 weeks.
On the other hand, if you go for a purely antibody based Hiv screening test then I would suggest a repeat test at 12 weeks in addition to a 4 week screening test. This is because in some individuals antibodies to Hiv may not appear as early as 4 weeks, however, since 100% of those will have anti Hiv antibodies by 12 weeks therefore an antibody based screening test is conclusive only at 12 weeks
