Thanks for posting your query.
I can understand the pain and agony which your father is going through.
There are a number of good hospitals in Hyderabad like Apollo hospital, Care hospital, XXXXXXX hospital, Global hospital etc.
Your father needs to consult one of the endocrinologists to take care of the diabetes and its complications.
In view of the pains and tingling sensations that he's going through, there's a likely possibility that he's suffering from diabetic neuropathy. In this the nerves of the body get damaged due to diabetes and a good control of the blood sugar along with certain medications pregabalin, gabapentin which take care of such neuropathic pains etc.
Unfortunately, I am not able to see the recent blood pressure readings which you've mentioned. Anyhow, the target blood pressure in a diabetic is 130/80 mmHg. He will need to be on certain medications for that apart from Atenolol like Ramipril, losartan, olmesartan etc.
Simultaneously, it is extremely important that he doesn't take alcohol and stops smoking. Smoking in a diabetic significantly increases the risk of complications like diabetic neuropathy.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing your father good health.
