Question : I take a Amlodiminee5mlg. Morning and evening. It maes me very drowsy in the morning hours. Could take 10 Mil. At night instead?

I appreciate your concern

Yes, in my patients I prefer a single 10 mg once a day dose of amlodipine instead of twice a day 5 mg.

The preferred method would be not to take the 10 mg all at once but to increase the single dose by 2.5 mg every 4 to 5 days ultimately reaching a maintenance dose of 10 mg in about 2 weeks.

Please apprise your treating physician of this method and do so accordingly.
