Question : I am taking nebivlol 7.5 mg amd talmisartan 40 mg since long. Now pre diabetic condition has started. Since beta blockers also suppress insulin producing cells, should i switch over to amlodipin

                                    Brief Answer:
No need to change

Hi friend
Welcome to Health Care Magic
No need to switch to Calcium channel Blocker like Amlodipine…
Nebivolol is a third generation beta blocker and unique is some aspects.. –
“Unlike some beta-blockerrs, nebivolol had no effect on insulin sensitivity and glucose tolerance (Fogari et al 1997) and may therefore have potential therapeutic benefits in patients with type 2 diabetes, especially as many diabetic patients develop hypertension during the course of their disease (Kannel et al 1991)… ” http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC0000/
Good luck
God bless you
