Question : Hello, i normally take 200mg of lamictal for bipolarvdepression. I accidentalky soubled my dose to 400mg tonight. What should i be cautious of? Is this matter something i should be overly concerned about?
Brief Answer:
not to worry, it is not toxic dose
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us. I can understand your concern.
In many cases maintenance dose of lamictal is 400 mg and it can be given up to 600 mg. You have mistakenly taken 400 mg instead of 200 mg. It is not a matter of much worry. You may experience some dizziness or sedation for 4-6 hours which will subside on its own. Do not use heavy machine or drive for 12 hours.
Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.
