Question : My Daughter,in another State has recently had an Liver Embolization. What is it,please? She has stage 4 Breast Cancer which has moved to her Liver. I am 89 and worried. She says all went well.

Liver embolisation is a technique, where the blood supply to a part of the liver containing the tumor cells is choked. This causes death of cancer cells and overall control of the disease.

This is usually used in addition to chemo treatment to give maximum results.

As the procedure has gone well, she is likely to do well in the future
