Is It Necessary To Have An X-ray For Evaluating Soft Tissue Injury?

Bone injury not likely. X-ray can be avoided.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The bruise and tenderness is suggestive of a soft tissue injury in the area. Since the full range of motion is present without any pain a bone injury is not likely.
All you have to do now is to allow it to rest and avoid working with right hand. Use anti inflammatory medications prescribed by your physician for few days. Try not to get it in extreme positions unless required. Use of crepe bandage can prove beneficial. Occasional hot fomentation is recommended. Begin movements of wrist and hand gradually.
I hope this answers your query.
