Is It Safe To Have Advil In Empty Stomach?

default
Posted on Mon, 23 Mar 2015
Question: Hi I am traveling in China and got food poisoning last night. I still feel pretty bad. I have a low grade fever with lots of body aches. Can I take Advil with my stomach so empty? I haven't eaten yet just lots of liquids at this point. Also should I start a round of cipro? My daughter is here and has a precription with her.

Thanks, XXXXXXX

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Thanks for using HCM.

No, you should never take advil in empty stomach. It will cause gastritis.
For fever, you can take tylenol which is safe even on empty stomach.

Yes , you can start taking ciprofloxacin. You can take it twice a day for 7 days.

I hope that answers your question.
Do you have any more question?
