Question : Dr. Iam 21weeks pregnant today I used take ecosprin tablet 2 times.actually Doctor told me to take one tablet daily.plz tell me any side effects

The most prominent side effects of the ecosprin are,

1. Tendency to bleed more in case of injury. This is inherent because ecosprin basically reduces the effectiveness of platelets- cells that help blood clotting.

So,It is actually a blood thinner drug.

2. Patients can have severe gastritis. this is usually easily prevented by taking simple antacids.

There are other effects, but they are minor like possible rashes and allergic reactions,gastric disturbances , increased chances of gastric ulcer.

Though these are not so dangerous and it is a safe drug to take till your 6 months of pregnancy.

If possible i would like to know some more information from you.
could you tell me why are you taking ecosprin?

Your doctor has reduced one dose of this ecosprin because there might be chances of heavy bleeding during parturition or during delivery.
