Is It Safe To Take Kaopectate For Upset Stomach?

Question : I have upset stomach... and wondering if I should :
take kaopectate for it....I have just finished taking my last dose for Amoxicillin (500 MG) 2 EA capsules...a little history for today: after I took my Amoxicillin 2 EA I went to the movies and had litely buttered popcorn with coke....after the movie is when I started feeling nauseated almost vomited (Dry heaves) but no vomit my stomach now feels tied up and upset . PLEASE HELP!!

Yes, you can use the kaopectate to help relieve your symptoms.

This can be used for nausea, GERD (reflux), diarrhea, abdominal discomfort. It should help to relieve the nausea and indigestion that you are experiencing.

Antibiotics can be associated with gastrointestinal upset, it is possible that the combination of the antibiotics and popcorn would have precipitated your symptoms.

If the kaopectate on its own is not effective you can also try anti nausea medication such as dramamine.
