Is It Safe To Take Heavy Weight After Hysterectomy?

and is it possible I could get a slight yeast infection? after the surgery I am tender and a little burnie feeling
Thank you for the question
Detailed Answer:
In the setting of a 'laparoscopically assisted vaginal hysterectomy" or LAVH, the typical recovery time is about 6 weeks. Some patients do manage to return to work earlier, but this is a typical recovery time. So, given that you perform heavy lifting, I would request the entire 6 weeks off. This is also about the amount of time that it takes for the sutures in the vagina to be completely absorbed.
Also, with a hysterectomy, you received antibiotics with the procedure. This is often a cause of vaginal yeast infections. I do not believe that it would be a good idea to insert a vaginal yeast cream, so it would be advised to contact your doctor for a prescription for diflucan. This is easy to treat and the most likely cause of your tenderness and burning. The other possibility is a bladder infection. When you call for the prescription, you can review the symptoms with your doctor and I know that they would be happy to help.
I hope that this helps and good luck!
