Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Everyday I do ultrasound scans on many pregnant women and many of them have asked me a similar question regarding train travel in early pregnancy.

Train journey is one of the safest travel options in XXXXXXX and you can proceed with taking her to Andhra Pradesh. My suggestions for you are as follows.

1. Please get a ultrasound scan done to check if the fetus is developing normally within the uterus. I hope you have got ultrasound scan done and the pregnancy is 8 weeks and 2 days with normal findings. Your doctor might have confirmed this.

2. Travel by airconditioned if possible and let your wife occupy lower XXXXXXX

3. Take enough home made and clean food and avoid your wife eating train food which is usually bad quality. She can eat biscuits, chips, fruits and drink tea.

4. Keep clean drinking water and juices to be taken when thirsty. It is very hot weather now in Andhra Pradesh and she should not get dehydrated.

5. Do not allow her to carry more than 5 kg weight. Any baggage heavier than that must be handled by you.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
