Question : Hi, I will be 62 next month. I am still having an occasional period (around 4 times a year). The flow is light and only lasts a few days but I have all the PMS symptoms plus since I have IBS I also always suffer from the runs and nausea, as well. When my period is over there's no more bleeding and I feel fine as long as I don't eat foods that bring on my IBS. Since I am past the normal age to have a period should I be worried about this?

It is quite concerning to have a period beyond the usual age of menopause which averages around 52 years.
This merits prompt evaluation. I strongly recommend seeing a Gynecologist at your earliest opportunity.
To the best of my knowledge, there is no connection between IBS and such abnormal bleeding.
It is absolutely important that you undergo a thorough examination to rule out worrisome conditions that are causing you to have 'periods'.
