Hello,
Pregnancy is possible for you, especially with
fertility drugs, but your window is narrowing. With careful monitoring, Clomid and medicines that can be used safely. Act sooner rather than later as both perimenopause and
IgA nephropathy add time sensitivity. Check partner’s fertility factors to ensure no additional delays. Your partner is advised to get his
semen analysis done.
Get clinically evaluated by your fertility specialist; low intensity stimulation will be the best for you. You will be referred to a
nephrologist as you need to get done kidney function tests. Monitor kidney lab tests like
creatinine, eGFR, urine protein, etc., before and during fertility treatment. The main concern isn’t the drug’s direct kidney toxicity, but the indirect risks if your kidney function is already fragile.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
