Question : Is mild diffuse cerebral edema is a major problem ?whats it mean and cause for and solution for it.please revert ASAP

Thanks for the question.

Mild diffuse cerebral edema is not a extremely major issue.It is commonly seen with head injury, meningitis, encephalitis or after seizures.It's associated finding and resolves once the underlying cause is treated. Mannitol is frequently used to treat brain edema.

Treatment depends on the underlying cause. Cerebral edema if associated with mid-line shift or herniation can be cause of concern and is treated on emergency basis.
