Hello,

Welcome to Health Care Magic.

Thanks for writing.

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.

It is as such not a concern to have such platelet count if there is no other issue with you, is you all blood work and examination normal otherwise? if yes then basically there should be no issues with such platelet count.

But yes if you have anemia ...deranged PT..Aptt or long standing infection then it needs to be addressed.

Are you taking any medication? if no then there should be no concern regarding that cause as well.

You can still discuss this with your doctor just to alleviate your concern otherwise in my opinion things seem fine.

I hope this answered your question, a
if you have more please feel free to ask.

She only said that my ESR shows inflamation, as well as i complained of aches and pains in my knee but she said the esr test does not pin point anything in particular. Vitamin D levels are low could this be a reasoning?

Brief Answer:
Vitamin D can cause body aches lethargy if low..

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for writing to Health care magic,

ESR and raised platelets individually dont point to any thing if there is nothing else wrong then they might not be significant..

If there is a low level of vitamin D and calcium then I would advise you to tak vitamin D and calcium supplementation for a couple of month or more joint and body aches are most probably because of that. Vitamin D levels dont usually have effect on.platelet number which in your case seem to be fine and not pointing to any serious abnormality.

Regards.
