Hope you are fine.
I have a concern. I had unprotected sex on XXXXXXX 22nd & XXXXXXX 25th. With regards to the unprotected sex which I had on XXXXXXX 25th, my partner did not ejaculate inside. It was done basically outside.
My periods date was on XXXXXXX 15th and my cycle falls correctly every month (28-30 days). With the unprotected sex which I had on XXXXXXX 22nd & 25th , will I get pregnant? I had taken 4 tablets of ‘Marvelon’ tablets on XXXXXXX 23rd and 3 tablets of ‘Marvelon’ on XXXXXXX 26th fearing that I may fall pregnant.
Please advise if there is any risk or chance of pregnancy. As per your advice, protection was used, but it broke off. I have heard from many that there is no chance of getting pregnant as I had proper sex without protection on 8th day and partial sex on 11th day. I have hear of Copper T and am searching if its available and can be done here.

There is a risk, but very low, maybe only 1 %.

See, basically in a 28 - 30 day cycle, ovulation occurs around day 14 - day 16.
So you had unprotected sex on day 8 and day 11 of your cycle.
Chances of ovulation are practically nil, but there maybe a 5 % risk of aberrant early ovulation and hence pregnancy.
Taking high dosage of Marvelon reduces that risk.
Again, there was no ejaculation, so the figure is still lower.
I would say the risk of pregnancy is around 1 % only.
But taking such high dosages of hormones frequently will lead to grave problems in your regular periods, making them highly irregular.
IT is best to invest in a long term contraceptive method, to avoid such stress, anxiety and high hormone dosages.
Dont worry about this time, practically speaking, there is no risk of pregnancy.

As I say always, you give me a relief always. Unfortunately there is no emergency contraceptive available here in UAE. Hence I go for 'Marvelon' tablets. I understand that these tablets are not good as there are side effects to it which I'm experiencing as well. But I have no option.
I really wish a doctor like you is available in the UAE. I did consult another doctors here as it is much more cheaper than a 'Specialist' package. But I was not convinced and hence I opted for this package again to connect with you.

I'm married since 8 years and I have a boy aged 4 years. I underwent an abortion last year in March in XXXXXXX when I was 3 months pregnant. All went fine and I got periods almost after a month after the abortion. Abortion actually hurts in all ways. Hence I do not want to undergo that phase again. It was my mistake that I never used any contraceptives that time and I had proper intercourse on almost all fertile days and I became pregnant which was shocking as in my past whenever I tried for a kid, the result came out negative as I was over weight and I had insulin issue as well. Once I cut down my weight by 24 kgs, is when I conceived. Hence I thought it would be difficult for me to get pregnant where as I became pregnant very fast so I underwent an abortion.
Condom always breaks in our case and the effect on sex is very low whenever condom is used. Hence please advise of a contraceptive measure which can be availed in UAE.

Marvelon, or any other contraceptive pill, has to be started from the 2nd or 3rd day of periods.
So you cannot start them right away.
You have to wait until your next period ( use condoms strictly until them, or avoid intercourse ).
Once you get your period, please start Marvelon or other brand .
Please understand that you have to be very particular while taking these pills, you cannot afford to miss any pills, as it can lead to pregnancy risk.
IF you feel you may miss pills, or forget them, please consider the IUCD which is also inserted on 5th day of period ( after bleeding gets over ).
