Question : I recently went through an IVF cycle and had success. Which I am over the moon about. But I made a very poor decision the night before my egg retrieval and cheated with an old fling. (Extremely regrettable). We used a condom but he did enter my body without a condom a few times before putting it on.I don't think it is possible but I can't shake the thought that I could have somehow ovulated 12 hours earlier than my trigger shot was to allow and that he may have had traces of sperm in his pre cum that would have gotten me pregnant. So my question is: how likely is it that I got pregnant by pre cum and a early ovulation?

The chances of having sperms in precum and getting pregnant due to an early ovulation are less than 5% but the possibility cannot be ruled out completely.

Usually the ovulation happens only after the trigger shot and the retrieved eggs are fertilized and then an embryo is implanted in the uterus. Spontaneous conception with precum and a failed IVF is extremely unlikely.
