Question : I have an anechoic cyst measuring 16.8X13.2 seen in the middle pole of the right kidney. do i need operation?
Brief Answer:
Surgery not needed
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thanks for writing in to health care magic.
I think the size you have provided are in millimeters, if so then your kidney has got a simple cyst of category l or ll of Bosniak classification.
Further evaluation of these lesions is generally not required.
If any doubt then repeat ultrasonography at 6 to 12
months to assure stability and a correct diagnosis may be considered.
I hope the advise will be helpful for you.
